ELIXIR
A Metaphysical Fantasy

A sword and sorcerer fantasy set in the time of Elizabethan England,
where a group of witches, alchemists and magicians pursue the "elixir of life",
that potion which can transform a person into whatever they dream to become.

Richard Michaels Stefanik is the author of The Megahit Movies book, a revised enhanced version of Structures of Fantasy, which analyzed the dramatic and comic elements found in commercially successful Hollywood movies. This book was selected by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) Mentors Program for the Recommended Screenwriting Books list. It is described as “one of the best books on story structure”. 

Richard was a Screenwriting Fellow at the American Film Institute then worked at several Hollywood studios, including Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney. He has taught Story Design and Screenwriting Seminars in cities throughout the world, including London, Copenhagen, Orlando, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York, and Hollywood. He has lectured on comedy to the British Society of Comedy Writers in London, and a French translation of The Megahit Movies was published by Editions Dixit in Paris in 2003, as
“Les Clés Des Plus Grands Succès Cinématographiques”.

The Megahit Movies Hollywood Story Design Workshophas been held in San Francisco, Orlando, Florida, and Hollywood. Richard has also spoken at the Sherwood Oaks Experimental College Meetings with Producers and Development Executives at Fox Studios, Sony Studios, Universal Studios and Paramount Studios. In May 2006 Richard presented his Story Design seminar in England at the Oxford International Festival of Films. Richard now conducts his Story Design workshops at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
